FANCY a taste of the forbidden?
Forbidden City star Kit Chan will hold an autograph session tonight from 8pm to 10pm at Tangs Department Store.
The appearance is part of a showcase that will also see the department store’s windows transformed until Sept 7 to give shoppers an advance look at the epic-scale musical.
Featuring music by songwriter and Cultural Medallion recipient Dick Lee, with lyrics by Olivier Award-winner Stephen Clark, Forbidden City recounts the journey of the Empress Dowager Cixi (Kit) from ingenious concubine to ruthless ruler and unmasks the woman behind the painted face.
Tonight and tomorrow, tickets to Forbidden City will be sold at a 20 per cent discount at a counter in Tangs (next to the display window). The promotion is being held in conjunction with Tang’s Legendary Draw, which is on until Sept 10.
Tangs’ shoppers stand a chance to win tickets to Forbidden City, food and beverage vouchers, Tangs’ gift vouchers and the official soundtrack of Forbidden City.
